ElfYourself by JibJab is a unique multimedia application that allows users to create personalized Christmas-themed dance videos. This video editing software is free to download and simple to navigate, making it an exciting tool for holiday enthusiasts. However, it does come with some limitations.
Be the Star of Your Own Festive Video
Unlike traditional video editing apps, ElfYourself doesn't require you to record a video. Instead, it invites you to choose a photo, which you then apply to one of the app's pre-designed videos. You can select an image from your gallery, capture a new one with the built-in camera, or even use photos from your Facebook and Instagram accounts. The app also provides a 'My Faces' library, which can store up to 20 of your previous photos.
After selecting a photo, you align your face with the provided elf image. You can include up to five elves in your video or choose to go solo. To produce your video, simply click the 'Let's Dance' button. There are 19 songs to choose from, featuring a blend of pop and Christmas tunes. However, only two of these songs are free, with the rest available for purchase individually or in a package.
Preview and Share Your Creation
The 'Let's Dance' page includes a preview feature, allowing you to see the final video before you upload it. You can then save the video in your gallery or share it on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. You also have the option of emailing the video to your friends. However, be prepared for a lengthy processing time. Also, note that the dance videos feature 2D elves with your faces, and the app does not permit any edits to the pre-made videos.

While ElfYourself provides some festive fun by enabling users to create holiday-themed videos, its entertainment value is somewhat limited. The interaction is restricted to attaching faces to dancing elves, and there's no option for video creation or editing.
